EMR European Metal Recycling

EMR is a leader in sustainable materials with operations in the Netherlands, the UK, Germany and the US. Every year, EMR recycles more than 10 million tons. From a tin can to an aircraft carrier. This saves more than 15 million tons of CO2 compared to iron production from mined ore. From the Netherlands, port terminals EMR Amsterdam and EMR Rotterdam make a substantial contribution to the total tonnage of iron scrap recycled.

EMR has committed itself to be CO2 neutral by 2040 and to contribute to the aligned climate agreements. As part of this, they invest heavily in energy productivity, low-carbon and nature-positive technology and the development of innovative new products that help their customers further reduce their CO2 emissions.
